Deploy Flask in India
WSGI apps deployed as handlers, with app.handler as the entrypoint. DataDack detects Flask from your repository and deploys it to Mumbai, Pune and Noida edge PoPs — sub-15ms for Indian users, with DPDP data residency by default.
What we detect for Flask
These are the exact defaults a Flask repository with no configuration receives. Every one is overridable per project and per environment.
- Install command
- pip install -r requirements.txt
- Build command
- — no build step —
- Output directory
- .
- Toolchain
- Python 3.12
- Request handling
- Handler · 512 MB · 30s timeout
A long-running request handler with nothing lifted to the edge — because a gated /public directory must stay gated. Node, Python and Go runtimes.
Three steps, no configuration
- 1
Connect the repository
Authorise GitHub once and pick your Flask repo. Nothing to install locally, no CLI to log into.
- 2
Flask is detected
We identify Flask and skip the build cluster entirely — the repository is the site, so it goes straight to the edge.
- 3

Flask deployment FAQ
Do I need to configure the build command for Flask?
No, and there is no build to configure — Flask needs no build step, so DataDack bypasses the build cluster and publishes your repository root directly to the edge.
Where is my Flask app hosted?
In India. Builds run in ap-south-3 and your app is served from Mumbai, Pune and Noida edge PoPs, giving sub-15ms latency to Indian users. Data never leaves Indian jurisdiction, which is what makes DataDack DPDP-compliant by default rather than by configuration.
Does DataDack serve my Flask static files from the edge?
Deliberately not. A Flask app commonly gates its static directory behind auth, a signed URL or a rate limit, and lifting those paths to the edge would silently remove the gate. Everything reaches your handler; you can opt specific paths into edge caching yourself.
Can I run preview deployments for Flask pull requests?
Yes. Every pull request gets its own isolated preview URL with its own environment variables, and previews can be password-protected or SSO-gated. Instant rollback to any previous build is one click, with no rebuild.
